Rains seem to be on their way back. There are short showers, but the sky is mostly gloomy. The turn in temperature can be felt, and it's on the incline again.
CHARACTER OF THE MONTH
Heavy clouds linger over the valley and the tension is as thick as the promise of rain. The rogues have attacked again and this time, they stayed around. RC is now under control of NPC rogues. Check the lands out at your own risk.

Points request is up<3 Sorry Eerie this isn't personal <3 This is set after his thread with Drakon & Gemma
Angry, he was irrationally angry about this. But he had managed to keep a cooler head than Sarthak had about it. He could have easily charged his king attempting a maim instead of what he was now doing, but that wouldn't drive the point home. Sarthak was younger and still had youth left to learn from his mistakes, and he was about to learn from a big one. The Duke approached the centre of the circle, he closed his eyes thinking to himself quietly reflecting on what he was about to do. Was he ready? Yes. Was he willing to be a gentle king? In some aspects yes, if he won today he would not remove Caligula or Sarthak from the Crater for that matter. It would still be their home.
Exhaling slowly he opened his eyes, he began to roll his shoulders forward. His stance took a better a balance while his claws grip the soil beneath his feet. He had traction now. His ears flicked into his mane to press against his skull, protected through his thick mane. Dual eyes narrowed into slits, his jaw tucked across his throat while open in a gaping snarl. This could go one of two ways, he would start with peace but he was ready in case Sarthak decided to back up his bark with bite.
Chuffing he began to turn it into a roar for a challenge for the Crater crown, Cye thought with a growl 'You should have checked your six Sarthak, and you should have left your petty rivalaries remain your own. This would be payment for trying to drag those you care about into your own battles. Come take your payment'.
Cali could hardly believe this. Sarthak hated him and now his home was being taken from him. Was life even worth it anymore? He didn't even get a chance to get excited for the expected cubs. The one good thing was overshadowed by his entire world crumbling around him.
"I will have all the cubs moved out before nightfall." And he had just got them too but now he had to return them to Copree. He also had to see if she would take Sinopa and Shion for him as well. He saw them as his daughters as well. He was pretty sure that Hanneth would let him stay in the Jungle but there was no way he could. The Crater had been perfect; no overwhelming amount of water, plenty of prey, nice shade, and easy enough to describe to newcomers so it could never be missed. And now all of that was gone. But it wasn't Drakon stealing everything but one of their own. Finally Caligula understood what the sharp sting of betrayal felt like.
”You do not need to leave Caligula, this isn't a hostile take over like you may think” Cye explained loudly to Caligula, he looked at him briefly but he didn't drop a single defense. His body remained stiff with readiness, his ears still hidden and his eyes narrowed. His tail lashing ready for a fight. Shoulders rolled still, he kept his guard up listening for anyone charging from behind him. He wasn't stupid. ”I do not plan to make you and Sarthak homeless, the Crater will remain your home. Think of it as a time out,” he muttered coolly, Sarthak needed to chill out and Cye was ready to beat him into the corner to do just that.
That happened faster than he had thought giving him little to no time in letting Caligula know. Not that he would've been able to, how could he get to the Crater King without Sarthak knowing. Slowly, he slipped towards the stone circle and found Cye and Caligula there already. Fiery eyes landed on the two and Drakon stuck close to the edge. He didnt want Caligula to be homeless and would have given him a home himself too. But Cye already made it clear that wasnt the case here.
((Spying for now, might use for informant thread unless she feels like making her presence known))
Oh, now this would be interesting. She knew of the male that was being called for, knew what he meant to Ekacia and Hecuba, and for that reason she lurked near the Stone Circle, hiding in the shadows of one of the boulders. Should this fail, and she be needed as an informant, it wouldn't do for her to be seen lingering at the scene of a potential takeover, especially near someone from Ekacia. For now, she would wait and watch intently, for information of success or failure would be useful both for Hecuba and the jungle, depending on how things went. She knew the scents of Rsorvic and Ekacia were within their borders, children sheltered from both prides. The politics at play here intrigued her, to say the least.
Whaaaaat? Drakon had mentioned a man from the Crater had expressed interest in challenging for the crown, but she certainly hadn't thought it to be anyone other than Akuma. When the call went up for Sarthak to come defend his home, Hecuba slowly made her way there in pursuit of her husband. She was not about to let him wander off into a trap without her, no sir. They arrived early and Hecuba frowned, knowing it likely seemed suspicious that the Coastal royals were among the first to attend. Great. She glanced at Drakon and stood with him a solid distance away from everything, nearly in front of him with her eyes drifting to Caligula with sadness. Someone challenging the man was potentially the best thing that could have happened to save them all a war, but the lion was sensitive and it was unlikely he would take this kind of change well.
”excuse me! sir, I think you’re mistaken, that one belongs to my dads!” youthful tones ring out as theta follows caligula’s trail towards the stone circle, her eyes wide in a mixture of confusion and misery. she had only just arrived in the crater, and already someone was trying to take it from their dads? blissful naivety was sewn across every fibre of her lissome being, candied gaze falling on the shape of the challenger as she feels small tears well up in the corners of her gaze. she didn’t understand — why would anyone want to take their home away from them? it seemed wrong, and cruel, and unjust, and theta didn’t like it one bit. of course, the nymph was also unaware of the tension that had spread across the valley, infecting Sarthak as well as a cascade of other figures, but what was that but a small technicality? sniffling, theta would look to press her frame against caligula’s side, hiding in his shadow as strangers spread around the bleachers of the stone arena, her eyes never once leaving that of the nameless challenger. Sarthak would fix this mess up, no problem — she was sure of it.
It was not the call he had expected. No. It was. He had expected this from someone else's voice at some other time. Either Drakon, Drakon's kids, Drakon's underlings would come for the Crater and finish what they had begun planning as soon as Ivette first saw what a pathetic specimen of felinity was laying claim to their ancestral home. He knew Cye's voice. Traitor. The reassurance the lion gave him should have tipped him off. He had been foolish to trust him. To think that the old warrior would support the anxious butter tub over the larger and more charismatic dragon. It seemed so obvious. If only he could foresee obstacles with the clarity of hindsight.
For today he had to make a showing. His temperament had not allowed him to rouse ungroomed. Only a few nervous brushes to his mane and he was off. He already had his mental affairs in order. To be toyed with and trounced by a superior opponent was terribly embarrassing and he would not live to suffer through such embarrassment again. He padded softly through the savanna. He wished he had more time to enjoy the scenery. He could not. Even if custom allowed him a few days he could not enjoy anything in his current state, disconnected so far above his regrets that he was not tethered to anything at all. He mentally listed out his advantages. They were easier to number. He supposed he had an advantage. A unique advantage. He knew what he was willing to sacrifice. Caligula was gone, taking with him the affection of Copree's children. Their own blood children were an opium dream. So all that remained was to decide to die for ideals that he had not spent enough time living for. It was unfortunate but he could not undo time, only follow it to its end.
Distance disappeared. He slowed, creeping along once he spotted the stones, analyzing the gathered herd. He knew Drakon would be there. One is always rewarded for suspicions by finding what you suspect. Chatting so casually. Composed. This was all his doing and planning. What he did not expect to see was Caligula looking so normal. Caligula with his typical diplomacy and his typical manner of appearing slightly but not completely unhinged. Nothing had changed with the bronze male except he was now on Drakon's side, which meant nothing had ever changed except Sarthak's realization of the fact that he had always been on Drakon's side. Dude had daddy issues a generation wide. Had Sarthak thought he could save him? His vision blurred. Idiot. He wasn't supposed to be optimistic or pessimistic. He was supposed to be realistic and that meant following through.
His eyes narrowed, squinted away tears. They did not return as his heart began to race. His steps soft and quick, Sarthak aimed to approach from directly behind Drakon. There was a simple way to show the brute that he was serious. He did not intend to die over a long period of being played with like a hatchling's prey; if he was to be struck down, as he suspected would be his fate, he wanted it to be quick and inevitable. He attempted to seize his fangs around the dragon's testicles. How many others had fawned over them? Disgusting. Simultaneously he aimed to reach his right paw, its claws extended, to try to rip downward along Drakon's right flank beginning an inch before the front curve of the hind limb. Sarthak said nothing. Everything important had already been done.
After a staff discussion, the DM will be allowed and be treated as though Drakon is on hardcore. Interference is NOT allowed.
The challenge for RC has defaulted due
to Sarthak launching a DM against Drakon.
For the most part, staff items come first and the Hanneth posts for AJ members. If it has been more than 3 days that I have not replied to your thread, please poke me in Discord! It is ok to poke me! Sometimes I forget or get caught up in something for staff and need to be reminded to reply.

What on earth was happening? With everything going on she did expect to hear Drakon calling for Sarthak in some way but this wasn't the King. It was an unknown voice. Hanneth raced as quickly as she could to get to the challenge and see what was happening and what could be done to stop things from spiraling out of control. She rushed in to see Sarthak launching an attack on Drakon from behind. "DRAKON BEHIND YOU!" She screamed as loudly as she could, her mixed eyes fixed on her Uncle as the golden male made his move. Her heart broken as she knew that Sarthak was following through with this threat.
